Golfers seeking warm breaks in the east Mediterranean have been turning to Cyprus, the so-called new jewel in the crown, for fresh golf course challenges in stunning and relaxing settings.
On offer in Cyprus are several challenging, world class golf courses, warm hospitality and practically all year round sunshine. Golf was popularised in Cyprus in the late 1990s, so it is a relatively new sport to the country. The Cyprus Golf Federation was established in 2000, its main objective to promote and manage amateur golf on the island. The golf courses on Cyprus are clustered around the popular tourist areas of Paphos and Larnaca, in beautiful valley and hillside locations.
